
Dr Hazel Anne Lin
Dr Hazel Anne Lin is a Partner and Senior Consultant at Eye & Retina Surgeons, Camden Medical.
Prior to joining ERS, Dr Lin was a Senior Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at National University Hospital (NUH). She was the Deputy Head of Department and concurrently served as Core Faculty of the residency programme. Her past appointments include Director of Clinical Services, and Member of the Operating Theatre Committee at NUH. Dr Lin also actively engages in education, holding appointments of Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Clinical Tutor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. She continues to serve as Visiting Senior Consultant at NUH.
Dr Lin graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) on the Dean’s list and received the Margaret Lee Ming Yee Memorial Medal and Albert Lim Liat Juay Silver Medal. Dr Lin underwent specialty training in Ophthalmology at NUH, obtaining her Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology, and was conferred the Gold Medal. Upon completion of specialist training in Ophthalmology, she was awarded the best candidate in Neuro-ophthalmology, Cataract & Comprehensive Ophthalmology, and Oculoplastic & Adnexal Disease.
Dr Lin embarked on sub-specialty training in Neuro-ophthalmology and Cataract surgery. She completed Neuro-ophthalmology fellowship training under A/Prof Clement Tan, Dr Chin Chee Fang and Dr Lim Su Ann, and observerships with Prof Prem Subramanian (University of Colorado) and Prof Celia Chen (Flinders University, Adelaide). She works closely with neurologists and neurosurgeons, managing eye conditions related to brain disorders such as tumours, strokes, inflammation and genetic conditions in children and adults. In addition, she has a keen interest in cataract surgery and is proficient in the management of complex cataracts, femtosecond laser assisted surgery and the use of premium intraocular lenses.
Dr Lin manages general ophthalmic conditions in adults and children, including refractive errors, dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and floaters. She is experienced in performing ophthalmic lasers, intravitreal injections and botox for facial spasms.
