Advanced Cataract Surgery
Dr Yeoh was involved in the development of small incision cataract surgery (Phaco) in Singapore and the Asia Pacific when phaco first started in Singapore in the early 90s.
Within a few years, Dr Yeoh had developed a teaching course on learning phacoemulsification cataract surgery entitled “Pearls and Pitfalls in beginning Phaco” and many young eye surgeons have been trained by him. This course has been presented all over the world, in many Asian countries and indeed was a regular fixture at the annual American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS) in the USA for more than 10 years. Today he runs instruction courses on femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery and makes educational films which have garnered numerous awards at film festival competitions in Asia, USA and Europe.
